Job Summary
Our global finance practice group is actively seeking to hire highly motivated and detail-oriented Securitization Associates to join our team in either the Boston or New York office. As a Securitization Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients on complex securitization transactions.
Duties/Responsibilities
Associates in this position will be expected to:
- Assist with the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of a wide range of securitization transactions, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and whole business securitizations;
- Conduct due diligence and review legal documents related to securitization transactions;
- Research and analyze legal issues related to securitization transactions;
- Assist with the preparation and review of offering materials and disclosure documents;
- Collaborate with clients and other attorneys from various disciplines at the firm to provide comprehensive legal advice to our existing clients;
- Assist with the training and mentoring of junior associates within the group; and
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry trends in securitization.
Required Skills/Abilities
Qualified applicants must have 3 – 5 years of experience at a large or global law firm representing issuers, sponsors, borrowers, and lenders in a variety of structured finance and securitization transactions. Candidates should have strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates should also have a strong academic record, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted to, and a member in good standing, of the Massachusetts Bar.
